The Indian prawn, known as Naaran Chemmeen in Malayalam, Eral in Tamil and Boldetti in Kannada,is one of the major commercial prawn species of the world. It is found in the Indo-West Pacific from eastern and south-eastern Africa, through India, Malaysia and Indonesia to southern China and Northern Australia. It is cultivated by many countries. Adult shrimp grow to a length of about 22 cm (9 in) and live on the seabed to depths of about 90 m (300 ft).

The meat of the tuna can be substituted the beef because of its colour and texture. Tuna is a fleshy fish with only central bone (no pin bones in muscles).
A word of caution; tuna causes allergic reactions to some individuals. Such persons should avoid the consumption of this particular fish and seek medical attention.

Yellow fin trevally also known as Vatta meen/Vattapara/Manjapara/Para in Malayalam and parai in Tamil, is a fish which has a growing capacity to a maximum known length of 117 cm and a weight of 43.5 kg.
